Upgrade / downgrade your plan
When do you need to upgrade?
Each plan includes a capital cap per Alpha (see [[aum-caps-per-alpha]]). When an Alpha's balance is higher than the cap, the Engine keeps running fine - it manages up to the cap, and the excess stays in your exchange account, safe and untouched.
Your dashboard shows a notice suggesting an upgrade, e.g.: "Your Alpha Crypto balance is $14,000 but your Pro plan manages up to $12,000. Upgrade to manage your full balance."
Upgrading is optional - never forced, never automatic. If you stay on your current plan, everything is fine: the Engine keeps managing up to the cap, and there's no fee on the excess.
Upgrading - how you pay
Tap the Upgrade button in the Subscription section and pick a target plan (Air → Plus / Pro / Max · Plus → Pro / Max · Pro → Max):
- You pay only the price difference for the days remaining in your current cycle:
Upgrade cost = (new plan price − current plan price) × days remaining ÷ cycle length
- Your renewal date doesn't change. At renewal, you're billed the full new-plan price.
- The Engine immediately gets the higher cap and starts deploying the previously-idle capital.
If your balance is above the Max plan cap ($50K / 1.25B VND per Alpha), the dashboard shows a Contact (Enterprise) button instead of upgrade - Enterprise has an unlimited cap and a custom contract.

Downgrading your plan
- A downgrade (e.g. Pro → Air) takes effect at your next renewal, not mid-cycle.
- You keep your current plan's full benefits until the end of the period you paid for.
- From renewal, the lower plan's cap applies. If an Alpha's balance is above the new cap, the Engine simply manages up to the new cap - the rest stays on your exchange (still no fee).
No hidden fees
Beyond your subscription price, AlphaSet charges no other fees:
- ❌ No AUM fee. ❌ No performance / profit-sharing fee.
- ❌ No withdrawal fee (you deposit/withdraw directly on your own exchange).
- ❌ No fee for adding accounts / sub-accounts.
- ❌ No fee when your balance is over the cap - the Engine just manages up to the cap and leaves the excess alone.
Frequently asked questions
My balance is over the cap - am I charged? No. There is absolutely no fee on the over-cap amount, whether it comes from a deposit or from profit. The Engine manages up to the cap; the rest stays in your exchange account, safe.
What if I deposit funds that push me over the cap? The Engine keeps managing up to the cap, and the newly deposited excess sits in your exchange account. The dashboard suggests an upgrade if you want the Engine to manage everything. No fee.
Do I have to withdraw funds before integrating an Alpha? No. You can integrate with any balance ≥ the Alpha's minimum. If your balance is higher than the cap, the Engine just manages up to the cap - no rejection, no fee.
Does upgrading move my renewal date? No. You only pay the difference for the days remaining; your renewal date stays the same.
