How AlphaSet works
How the Engine manages your balance
When you connect an exchange account and turn on an Alpha, the Quant Engine manages that account's trading balance up to your plan's capital cap.
- Within the cap, the Engine runs your entire trading balance according to your chosen Alpha - there's no way (and no need) to set something like "manage $10K, leave the rest alone" within the same account.
- Balance over the cap automatically sits untouched on your exchange - no trading, no fee (details under "How does the cap work?" below).
- To deliberately keep part of your assets aside → hold it in a separate account/sub-account, or move it to a non-trading wallet (e.g. the exchange's Funding/Earn wallet).
Rebalancing 24/7
The Engine doesn't trade once and stop - it runs continuously:
- Reads market signals in real time.
- Recalculates portfolio weights continuously (per-minute, not daily/weekly).
- Opens/closes positions and rebalances following the Alpha's logic - even while you sleep.
Each Alpha has its own cadence (e.g. Alpha Crypto rebalances the basket every 4 hours), but the principle is the same: the portfolio is always kept aligned with the model.

Your funds always stay on your exchange
The Engine places orders but never holds your funds:
Your funds always stay on your own exchange. AlphaSet never holds your assets.
- Crypto: connected via an API key with trade permission only, no withdrawal.
- Stock VN: connected via trading authorization (SACO) - funds stay in your DNSE account.
- Revoke access anytime → the Engine stops immediately.
How does the cap work?
Each plan has a capital cap per Alpha. The Engine manages capital up to your plan's cap:
- Balance within the cap → the Engine manages your whole balance normally.
- Balance over the cap (from a deposit or from profit) → the Engine manages up to the cap, and the excess stays in your exchange account, safe and untouched. No fee. The dashboard suggests an upgrade if you want the Engine to manage everything.
- Want to manage more capital for one Alpha → upgrade your plan.
Summary
- The Engine manages your connected balance up to your plan's cap; any excess stays on your exchange, safe and fee-free.
- Rebalances 24/7 following the Alpha's model.
- Funds always stay on your exchange; the Engine only trades, never withdraws.
- Want to keep assets separate → use a different account/wallet.
