Connect BingX (create an API key)

An API key is how AlphaSet places trades on your behalf in your BingX account. Important: this key only allows trading, never withdrawals.

Your funds always stay on your exchange. AlphaSet never holds your assets. You can revoke the key anytime — the Engine stops immediately.

Before you start

• You need a verified (KYC) BingX account.
• Minimum capital for Alpha Crypto: $1,000 in your trading (Futures) balance.
• Note: the Engine manages your connected account's entire trading balance. If you want to keep part of your capital aside, leave it in another wallet (Funding/Earn) or use a separate account.

Step 1 — Open API management on BingX

Log in to BingX → go to Account → API Management. Choose create a new API key and give it a memorable name, e.g. "AlphaSet".

Step 2 — Enable trade permission, DISABLE withdrawal

When setting permissions for the key, do exactly this:

• ✅ Enable the Trade permission — including Futures (and Spot if the exchange requires it).
• ❌ Disable / do not check the Withdraw permission.
• ❌ You do not need and should not enable internal transfer permission.

This is the most important point. AlphaSet only needs order-placement permission. If a key has withdrawal permission, AlphaSet will refuse the connection to protect you.

Step 3 — (Recommended) Whitelist IPs

For extra security, enable restrict access to trusted IPs and paste AlphaSet's IP list (shown in the app when you connect). Once whitelisted, only AlphaSet can use this key — even if the key leaks, no one else can use it.

Step 4 — Save the API Key and Secret Key

BingX shows your API Key and Secret Key. Note: the Secret Key is shown only once — copy and store it safely. If you lose it, you must delete the old key and create a new one.

Step 5 — Paste into AlphaSet and Test Connection

Back in AlphaSet → Connect exchange screen → select BingX → Enter API key manually → paste your API Key and Secret Key → click Test Connection.

AlphaSet automatically checks:

• Whether the key can read your balance.
• Whether the key has trade permission.
• Whether the key does NOT have withdrawal permission (if it does, you'll be asked to recreate a key without it).

When it shows connection successful, you're done. Your API key is stored with AES-256 encryption, decrypted only at execution time.

Quick tips

• On Air, you connect only 1 exchange × 1 Alpha. Pro/Max connect unlimited exchanges and Alphas.
• Some exchanges auto-disable API keys after 90 days unless IPs are whitelisted — whitelisting keeps the key alive longer.
